Incorporated as a Private Limited Company in 1985, specialising in the production of Video Based Training - Technical Instruction - Corporate programs, primarily for the demanding North Sea Offshore Oil & Gas Production & Drilling industry. AVDP’s production facility is strategically placed near Aberdeen, Scotland, at the centre of U.K. North Sea oil and gas operations.
The experience gained in this demanding industry has enabled the Company to successfully expand it’s program production capabilities to other industries such as the Maritime, Petrochemical, Power Generation, and Aviation industries.
In 1992, the Company started producing “Off the Shelf” generic training video programs to cater for the demand from clients for training programs on common subjects. The Company also developed a “with questions” training video format which has proved very successful. The Company has a world wide market for “Generic” video training programs, which are also now available in DVD, Video-CD (VCD), CBT and Multimedia format.
Productions specific to clients specific requirements has expanded world wide, with the Company being contracted to produce programs for clients world wide, including S.E Asia, Australia, Brazil, USA, Canada, Skandinavia and the Middle East.
Video-CBT and CBT - Computer Based Training Programs & Modules with built in Competency Assessment and Multimedia now play an important part in the Company’s production activities. MPEG Digital Video encoding was introduced in 1995. Since then MPEG encoded digital video has been considered an essential part of all CBT and Multimedia productions. DVD production is now provided to cater for client’s requirements for this media format.
